Monolayer and Bilayer
Monolayer and Bilayer (Single-sided - Double-sided)
It says Monolayer when the printed circuit board uses only one side for track construction. The laminate used is in fact insulating material with only one side of copper (in the finished circuit board it is identified as solder side or copper side).
In the case of the Bilayer the printed circuit has conductors on two sides. Generally they are metalized-hole with copper only or with tin-coated copper, tin-nickel alloy, tin-lead alloy. nickel-gold alloy, etc. In some cases they may be non-metallized-hole.
